Chemo Caps for Kids

This is Natalie.  Natalie is a 7 year old girl that takes dance with my daughters.  This week she was diagnosed with Stage 2 Ovarian Cancer and is due to start chemo today.  Her mom was told, because of the type of chemo, she’s going to lose her hair quick.

My heart is so heavy for Melinda & Dave (Natalie’s mom & dad).   Maybe it’s because her girls remind me of my own.  They are close in age and get along super well.  Or maybe it’s because I know, as a mother, you always just want to take away the pain and make it better for your kids.   Whatever the reason, my heart is broken for this family and every time I think of them I cry.  No child (or adult) should ever have to go through this.

I’m going to make her a hat, but I was hoping to bless her with a few.  Her favorite colors are green, pink, purple, and blue, but I’m sure she would love anything.  The only request from Melinda (the mom) is that the yarn is soft.  If you’re willing to help just leave me a comment with your email address and I’ll send you my address to mail them to.  They’re going to be spending quite a bit of time at the hospital the next few weeks so, I’m going to collect them and bring them to her in the next week or two.

Please pray for Natalie and her family.  They have a long road ahead of them, but prayer works!
