YARN!!!

Ok, most of you know I have a yarn hoarding problem.  I’m working on it….really, I am!  I’m trying really hard not to buy any yarn.  I even went out and invested in clear tubs so I could better see what I already have.  (I can’t keep it out in the open because of the woodstove).  But, what do you do when you are asked if you’d like some yarn?   I’m not purchasing it, right?  So, that makes taking in more orphan yarn ok, right?!?!  Here’s what happened….

Someone I know from church sent me a message, and asked if I would like some yarn.  She said she was cleaning and had some extra skeins she knew she’d never use, so she thought maybe I’d put them to good use.  Of course I jumped at the chance :D, but honestly I thought she meant like 3, or 6.  A few weeks passed and I forgot all about the conversation, until one day my son came home with this….

Me: “What’s that?”

Zack: “It’s from Patsy.” – Now, I only know one Patsy, and I knew he had been with Patsy’s hubby that day, but our conversation had eluded me, and at that moment was nowhere in my memory bank.

Me: “What is it?”

At this point Zachary just laughed and walked away.  So, I opened the bag….

WOO HOO!!!!!  THANK YOU, PATSY!  (because I need more yarn:)) haha

And even better was that I don’t think I had most of these colors in my current stash.

I must get back to crocheting on a regular basis.  If we do move, hubby probably won’t be thrilled to have to move 14 buckets of yarn!  Ooops!

Happy Crocheting!

  • I am so glad that I am not the only one with so much yarn not sure what to do with but can’t rid of. I am also glad that I am not the only one that can’t say no to somebody who wants to give me free yarn… LOL You were saying that you hope you don’t move and have to move all that yarn. Well, I just did and my hubby saw all the boxes with “crochet” on them and was not very happy. But, I know have them all in a place where I can see it and have found projects to use them up. :)
