Tunisian Sampler Scarf CAL – Part 12
This is going to be the last section of the CAL. If you’d like the scarf to be longer you can just repeat any/all of the sections we’ve done. I will do a separate post on how to end your tunisian project. When you are done you will probably want to block your scarf so that all sections are exactly the same width.
Here is a lattice pattern, which is made by crossing two stitches. I really like the look of this, and think it would make a great project on its own.
Section 12 – Lattice Pattern
TSS = insert hook behind next vertical bar, yo, pull up a loop (for tutorial see section 1 of scarf)
Row 127: skip 1st vertical bar, * TSS in next vertical bar, repeat from * across, insert hook through both loops of last stitch. (20 loops on hook)
To complete row: yo, pull through 1st loop on hook, * yo, pull through 2 loops, repeat from * across until 1 loop remains.
Row 128: skip 1st vertical bar, * skip next vertical bar, draw up a loop in next vertical bar (see fig.1), draw up a loop in skipped vertical bar (see fig.2), repeat from * across, insert hook through both loops of last stitch (see fig.3). (20 loops on hook)
To complete row: yo, pull through 1st loop on hook, * yo, pull through 2 loops, repeat from * across until 1 loop remains.
Fig.1 – skip next vertical bar, pull up a loop in next vertical bar
Fig.2 – pull up a loop in skipped vertical bar
Row 129 – 139: Repeat Row 128.
Happy Crocheting!
I have been wanting to learn the tunisom technique. I can’t wait to do your scarf pattern. I like your blog, very interesting and informative. Yeh for you and I’m glad I found your blog
I just want to thank you for your wonderfully explained stitches on your Tunisian sampler scarf. I am using 3 of them on my queen size blanket! I have done about 75cm of 2m wide so far : see here
That is beautiful, Janet! I love the colors you chose.
Thank you so much for the tunision stitches all condensed into the one place. Hope your knee is working as it should ….regards Connie Fisk.
Thanks, Connie! My knee is not 100% (6 month recovery) but I’m doing much better!
Thank you so much, Kristine. I’ve been too busy to do much crocheting this past week or two. I want to just find a comfortable spot and lock myself away for awhile. Lol. Trying to get more organized and making a very good start at that!
I hope you have had some luck with that, Julie!
