This Awareness Ribbon Project was a true work of {he}art.

I have been working on this design for months. I wanted to show my life, and just what is important to me. I also wanted to support so many of my friends. Most of us are either in the midst of a struggle and/or trial, or know someone who is. Whether you are in the midst of a trial, have overcome your trial, or have suffered the loss of a loved one, your strength is amazing! My friends, and all of you who overcome amazing things, are the true inspiration for this project.

There are 64 different squares pictured, but 70 different square combos included, which represent every single awareness ribbon I could find. Everything from blindness, asthma, food allergies, eczema, loss of a child, domestic abuse survivor, every cancer imaginable, diabetes, CHD, POTS, downs syndrome, autism, and so many more. The pattern has 17 pages, including 3 full pages of every color combo I could find, with the meaning of each one, plus photo tutorials to help you make each type of ribbon.

AWARENESS RIBBON BLANKET PATTERN

Finished Size: 45″ wide x 59″ long

Finished Sizes:

• Ribbon – 3.25” X 5.5”
• Square – 6.25” X 8.25”
• Afghan – 44 ½” X 58 ½”

Yarn: #4 worsted weight – 35 oz/1640 yds
Sample used: Loops & Threads Barcelona in Arctic

• .3 oz. ribbon color for each square
• .5 oz. white per square
• 20 oz. ribbon color total (if you choose to do them all the same color)
• 36 oz. white (total)

Hook Size: Size I/9 (5.5 mm)

Notions: Yarn Needle

Difficulty: Adv Beginner: Uses beginner stitches with some shaping.

Stitches used: chain (ch), single crochet (sc), half double crochet (hdc), double crochet (dc), slip stitch (sl st), repeat (rep)
