My #1 Crochet Pattern of 2018

I am SO excited to announce my #1 crochet pattern of 2018!

I’ve been trying to reflect on my top 10 from last year so I have some idea what to create this year. I’ll still be making lots of scarves (I love scarves!) but I will be making a slight shift in my niche for this year.

I’m looking forward to the journey and I hope you’ll join me.

#1 – AMERICAN FLAG AFGHAN

Many years ago my sister asked me to make her an American Flag blanket. I wanted to create my own pattern and decided if I was going to do it I was going to do it right.

I used the schematics from the US American Flag and made it as true to dimensions as I could. The stars & stripes are all proportionately correct to each other. It was a huge project that took months of planning.

I also made the stripes more like a fabric so there are no holes between stitches (and it’s not sc). I also incorporated the stars right into the blanket so they don’t need to be sewn on.

Finished size is bigger than a throw – almost fits full size bed.

My other top patterns of 2018 are listed below.

#2 – Pemberley Heirloom baby blanket
#3 – Ava Grace baby blanket
#4 – Pine Grove Hat
#5 – Blue Ridge Blanket Wrap
#6 – Jordan Baby Sweater set

Thank you so much for making 2018 such a success. I’m looking forward to making some great new patterns for you this year!
