One Stitch Forward, Two Stitches Back
I’m frogging my business! It’s time to rip-it out and start over. Ok, not completely, just the past year or so. I started this blog with the intention of helping others with their crochet skills. Somewhere along the way I bought into the hype that you need social media in your business. That’s fine. I’m not against social media, but I gave up my love of helping others in the process. My focus became my “stats” and I was using this blog almost solely for giveaways. That is NOT what I had in mind. So, it’s time to get back to basics. I’m not giving up my fb page, or twitter, you’ll just see me there a little less and I’ll be here a little more.
I will be making some changes to the layout to make navigation a little easier. I’ll be adding new content and making it easier to find old content. And, if anyone is interested I’ll be happy to bring back WIP Wednesday. I always loved seeing others projects and visiting fellow crafters blogs. (so let me know if you’re interested!) Hopefully the changes will be subtle, and they won’t be all at once because I’ll be working on them myself. If you see something that doesn’t look right, please let me know.
What would make this site easier to navigate? What would you like to see more of?
I can’t wait to get back to business!
Yes, bring back WIP!
I’ve been distracted by the same things and have made the same decision to come back to pure crochet and let go of some time-eaters. Focus on what makes you happy.
Thank you! It’s nice to know I’m not alone on this journey.
I must say that I admire you for your decision. Life is not about stats but people. Thank you
Thank you, Liz! <3
I would love your wip Wednesday I would like to see some comparison between different yarns of the same weight and which ones would be better for like afghans or baby clothes
Yes bring wip back. I,m not on any social media, been off for 11 months. I enjoy crocheting more. I have 5 afghans to make for 3 granddaughters and soon to be a Greatgrand son.
Good for you Darla. I’ve been thinking about removing social media altogether. Was it difficult? Everyone uses it for everything now.
I’d love to see again the WIP Wednesday!
