Oscar the Octopus Coffee Cozy – Free Crochet Pattern
Warm coffee and warm sunshine. What could be better? My teenage daughter – who doesn’t even drink coffee – came up with this adorable Oscar the Octopus coffee cozy and she’s offering the pattern free to my readers. It works up super quick and is a fun project.
Oscar the Octopus Coffee Cozy
Fits: Average size travel mug
Materials Used: Below are the materials I used.
- scraps – #4 worsted weight yarn
- craft eyes
- Size “J” crochet hook
Ch 41.
Row 1: Sc in 2nd ch from hook, sc in each ch across, turn.
Row 2: Ch 1, sc blo in each sc across, turn.
Rows 3 – 15: Rep Row 2.
Begin working legs.
Row 16: *Ch 12, sc in 2nd chain from loop, sc in each ch across, sc in next sc of row 15, sc in next 3 sc, ch 10, sc in 2nd ch from loop, sc in each ch across, sc in next sc of row 15, sc in next 3 sc, rep from * around.
Fasten off.
Finishing
Sew short ends of rows together.
Sew eyes 6 rows from top and approx. 1 1/2″ apart.
