Crochet Hook: Size I/9 (5.5 mm)
Notions: Yarn Needle
- 5 v-sts = 4”
- 5 puff st/sc combos = 4”
- 8 rows= 4” in pattern
- Puff stitch – yo, insert hook in indicated st, yo, pull up loop, [yo, insert hook in same st, yo, pull up a loop] 4 times (11 loops on hook), yo, draw through all 11 loops.
- V-stitch – (dc, ch 1, dc) in indicated st or space.
ch – chain
sl st – slip stitch
sc – single crochet yo – yarn over

Row 1: V-st in 5th ch from hook (skipped 4 chs counts as dc and skipped ch 1), *sk next 2 ch, v-st in next ch, rep from * across to last 2 ch, sk next ch, dc in last ch, turn.(8 v-st, 2 dc)
Row 2: Ch 1, sc in first st, *sc in next dc, puff st in ch-1 sp, ch 1, sk next dc, rep from * across, sc in last dc, turn.(8 puff sts, 10 sc)
Row 3: Ch 1, sc in 1st sc, ch 1 (sc and ch 1 will act as dc), *sk ch-1 sp, v-st in top of puff st, sk sc, rep from * across to last 2 sts, sk next sc, dc in last sc, turn.
Row 4: Ch 1, sc in first st, *sc in next dc, puff st in ch-1 sp, ch 1, sk next dc, rep from * across, dc in last sc, turn.(8 puff sts, 10 sc)
Rounds 5 – 104: Rep Rows 3 & 4.
