Gingham Baby Blanket – Free Crochet Pattern

Have you ever wanted to make a gingham baby blanket but didn’t want all the color changes? With this blanket you make each square separately holding 2 strands of different colors together. When you’re done you sew them together. No color changes.

Gingham Baby Blanket

Finished Size: approx. 22” x 26” (Gauge to match up squares is more important than size.)

Materials: Bernat Softee Baby (#3 Light Worsted)
White – 2 skeins (10 oz)
Baby pink marl – 2 skeins (10 oz)
Prettiest Pink – 2 skeins (10 oz)

Crochet Hook: Size K/10.5 (6.5 mm) crochet hook

Notions: Yarn Needle

Notes:
It is important to make sure your gauge for the side panels, top & bottom strips, and corner pieces all match the center square. If they don’t match you will need to block them.
Entire afghan is crocheted holding 2 strands together.
