Ashford Infinity Crochet Pattern

The Ashford Infinity has and elegant style to it. The infinity crochet pattern is made with fingering weight yarn to give it high class appeal, with a adv. beginner stitch combo. Wear it with either your favorite pair of jeans to dress them up a bit or with your Sunday best!

ASHFORD INFINITY CROCHET PATTERN

Finished Sizes: 6.5” wide X 60” circumference

Yarn:  #1 fingering weight – 7 oz./338 yds

Sample used: 

  • Malabrigo Mechita in Eggplant (250 yds/60g)
  • Madeline Tosh Twist Light in Star Scatter (250 yds/60g)

Crochet Hook: Size G/6 (4.0 mm)  

Notions: Yarn Needle

Gauge: 10 (puff st, ch 1) repeats x 13 rows = 4 inches

Special Stitches:

  • Puff Stitch (puff st)yo, insert hook in indicated stitch, yo, pull up loop, (yo, insert hook in same st, yo pull up loop) 3 times, yo, pull through all 9 loops on hook.  

Abbreviations

ch – chain
dc – double crochet
sc – single crochet
sl st – slip stitch
sp – space
yo – yarn over

Difficulty: Advanced Beginner – You will need to be familiar with chains, sc, dc, and working in specified spaces.

Infinity

With Color A, ch 34.
Row 1: Sc in 2nd ch from hook and in each ch across, turn. (33 sc)

Row 2: Ch 2 (does not count as dc throughout), dc in 1st sc (same as ch 3), *ch 1, sk next sc, dc in next sc, rep from * across, turn. (17 dc, 16 ch-1 sps)  

Row 3: Ch 1, sc in 1st dc, *sc in next ch-1 sp, sc in next dc, rep from * across, turn. (33 sc)

Row 4: Ch 2 (does not count as dc throughout), dc in 1st sc (same as ch 3), *ch 1, sk next sc, puff st in next sc, rep from * across, turn. (17 puff sts, 16 ch-1 sps)  

Row 5: Ch 1, sc in 1st dc, *sc in next ch-1 sp, sc in next puff st, rep from * across, work sc in last dc, turn. (33 sc)

Rows 6 – 33: Repeat Rows 2 – 5.

Rows 34 – 35: Repeat Rows 2 – 3, switching to Color B in last st of row 35, turn.

Row 36: With Color B, ch 1, sc in 1st sc and each sc across, turn. (33 sc).

Rows 37 – 68: Repeat Rows 2 – 5.

Rows 69 – 70: Repeat Rows 2 – 3, switching to Color A in last st of row 70, turn.

Row 71: With Color A, Rep Row 36, turn.

Rows 72 – 216: Rep Rows 37 – 70 (4 more times), until you have 6 color block sections.

Fasten off, leaving 18” for seaming.

Use mattress stitch to seam short ends together. (you can use a whip stitch if you prefer)

  • Kristine, thank you so much for this mystery gift!! My daughter is large up top, so bulky scarves aren’t her best friend. I think this might be perfect since it’s a much lighter weight yarn!
