REVIEW

Kristin put a lot of thought into each of these designs. First, it has options for seasons. There is openwork and lighter weight hats but there are also hats that would be perfect for cold winter days. There are basic hats for the beginner, as well as designs for the more adventurous crocheter. There’s even a messy bun hat!

In addition to that, it’s not just a book full of hats that use basic stitches. There is SO much variety. If you like trying new stitches and combos, you will appreciate the variety.

In addition to some beautiful stitch combos, you’ll also learn these techniques:

  • Tapestry crochet
  • Motifs
  • Honeycomb cable
  • Broomstick lace
  • Cables
  • Hairpin lace
  • Invisible join

The book has a wealth of info – everything from how to read patterns and charts to blocking. It also includes both written patterns and charts. So whether you’re a visual learner or you like written patterns you’ll love this!
