Pemberley Lace Scarf – Free Crochet Pattern

The Pemberley House symbolizes grace and beauty, as well as the finer things in life. The Pemberley Lace Scarf pattern is reminiscent of that era.

MATERIALS


Finished Sizes: 6.5” wide x 68” long,
after blocking


Yarn: #2 sport/baby weight yarn – 2 oz./260 yds
Sample used: Premier Chamonix in Heirloom Rose


Crochet Hook: Size – I/9 (5.5 mm)

Notions: Yarn Needle

Gauge: 5 repeats and 8 rows = 4.5” in pattern

Notes:

  • Scarf can be adjusted by adding, or subtracting, in multiples of 8 (+4).
  • When adjusting the size be sure to consider yarn requirements.
  • Blocking will considerably open up the fabric and create a beautiful lace.


Special Stitches:
V-stitch (v-st) – (2 dc, ch 1, 2 dc) in indicated stitch




PEMBERLEY LACE SCARF


Ch 28,
Row 1: dc in 4th ch from hook (skipped 3 chs counts as dc), *ch 1, sk next 3 ch, sc in next ch, ch 1, sk next 3 ch**, v-st in next ch, rep from * across ending last rep at **, 2 dc in last ch, turn. (2 v-sts, 3 sc, 4 dc)

Row 2: Ch 1, sc in 1st dc, *ch 1, v-st in next sc, ch 1**, sc in ch-1 sp of next v-st, rep from * across ending last rep at **, sc in last dc, turn. (3 v-sts, 2 sc, 4 dc)

Row 3: Ch 3, dc in 1st sc, *ch 1, sc in ch-1 sp of next v-st, ch 1**, v-st in next sc, rep from * across ending last rep at **, 2 dc in last dc, turn. (2 v-sts, 3 sc, 4 dc)

Rows 4 – 146: Repeat Rows 2 & 3. 

Fasten off.
