Daisy May Sunhat – Free Crochet Pattern

The Daisy May is a lightweight sunhat crochet pattern that is perfect for cool spring days when you want just a little cover from the breeze.

Made with beginner stitches and just a bit of shaping you’ll be done and ready to wear this sunhat in no time. Add some crochet flowers or even ribbon flowers like I did.

MATERIALS

Finished Sizes: Baby (12-14”), Toddler (16-18”), Child (18-20”), Adult (20-22”)

Yarn: #4 worsted cotton – 2125-200 yds/3-4 oz.
Sample used: 24/7 Cotton in White

Crochet Hook: Size – H/8 (5 mm)

Notions: Yarn Needle

Gauge: 4.5 sc = 4” in pattern

Abbreviations:

ch – chain
sc – single crochet
sk – skip
sl st – slip stitch

Notes:

Hat is worked from the top down.
Make sure your chains are not too tight or it will reduce the hat size.
