Cozy Toes for Baby Book Review
Publisher: Martingale
Number of Pages: 51 pages
Number of Projects: 7 projects
Types of Projects: Baby booties/shoes ranging in sizes from 0-3 months thru 18-24 months.
Difficulty: While I didn’t see a difficulty rating listed, I’m going to say this book would be good for the advanced beginner. The stitches are basic but there is shaping involved. The directions are clear for both crocheting and felting, so if you are a new, but adventurous crocheter, give them a try.
First Impression: A new twist on some old favorites. Everyone loves animals….especially baby booties. I’ve honestly never felted any of my crochet work, mostly because of lack of knowledge, but this book is very clear on sizing, instuctions, and information on how to felt. The designer took practial baby items, added the felting technique, and made something useful, fun, and new (I haven’t seen any other felted baby booties books around).
Martingale has included clear instructions on felting, how to add leather soles (with photos), along with tons of extras beyond the patterns themselves. There is stitch help, techniques, resourses, and pattern cutouts. You can click on the photos or the link under the cover to go the the Martingale site and see the book for yourself.

Happy Crocheting!
