Everyone loves vacation . . . . or at least I think they do! The sand & sea is relaxing and exactly what most of us need from time to time.

Beach Getaway = a place where one escapes for relaxation, vacation, etc., or a period of time for such recreation: a little seaside getaway.

SAND & SEA BLANKET CROCHET PATTERN
Finished Size: Baby – 31.5″ x 34.5″
Yarn: #4 worsted weight
Sample used: Caron Cotton Cakes in Beachglass
2 – 8.8 oz. cakes/1060 yards
Hook Size: Size I/9 (5.50 mm)
Notions: Yarn Needle
Gauge: 6.5 repeats and 17 rows = 4” in pattern
Notes:
- Blanket can be made larger by adding in multiples of 2.
- When adjusting the size be sure to consider yarn requirements.

BLANKET
Ch 98.
Row 1: (Sc, dc) in 2nd ch from hook, *sk next ch, (sc, dc) in next ch, rep from * across to last 2 chs, sk next ch, sc in last ch, turn. (49 sc, 48 dc)
Row 2: Ch 1, (sc, dc) in 1st sc, *sk next dc, (sc, dc) in next sc, rep from * across to last st, sc in last sc, turn.
Rows 3 –104: Repeat Row 2.
BORDER:
Round 1: 3 sc in corner, *sc in each row-end across side of blanket working 1 sc into sc row end 3 sc in corner st**, sc in each ch across bottom, 3 sc in corner st, rep from * to **, sc in each st across top, do not join.
Round 2: hdc in first sc of previous round, *hdc in each sc across to corner, 3 hdc in corner sc, repeat from * around, sl st in 1st hdc to join. Fasten off.
