FPDC – Scrubbie & Dishcloth

My stitch of the week has gotten a little behind since I had the baby. I’m trying to get back on a schedule but things have been a little crazy around here.

Here’s my latest. There is a pattern for a dishcloth and a scrubbie.

FPDC – yo, insert hook from front to back and to front again around the vertical post (upright part) of next st, yo and draw yarn through, yo and complete dc.

Finished Size:
• Scrubbie – approx. 3”
• Dishcloth – approx. 10”

Materials: Lily – Sugar & Cream
• Robin’s Egg blue – 1 skein (MC)
• Summer Prints – 1 skein (CC)
• White – scraps (WHT)
• Size “G” crochet hook
• Yarn Needle

Scrubbie
Round 1: Using WHT – ch4, dc in 4th ch from hook (counts as 1st dc), ch1, *2dc in same ch as previous dc, ch1, repeat from * 4 more times, slip stitch in top of beg ch3, slip stitch in next ch1 space changing to MC, (6 ch1 spaces), DO NOT TURN.
Round 2: ch3 (counts as 1st dc), FPDC around next 2 dc, *(dc, ch1, dc) in next ch1 space, FPDC around next 2 dc, repeat from * around, dc in last ch1 space, ch1 slip stitch to top of beg ch3, DO NOT TURN.
Round 3: ch3 (counts as 1st dc), FPDC around next 4 dc, *(dc, ch1, dc) in next ch1 space, FPDC around next 4 dc, repeat from * around, dc in last ch1 space, ch1 slip stitch to top of beg ch3, slip stitch in next ch1 space , DO NOT TURN.
Border
Using WHT – attach with slip stitch to any stitch, sc in each stitch around with (sc, ch1, sc) in corner spaces.

Dishcloth
Round 1: Using MC – ch4, dc in 4th ch from hook (counts as 1st dc), ch1, *2dc in same ch as previous dc, ch1, repeat from * 4 more times, slip stitch in top of beg ch3, slip stitch in next ch1 space changing to CC, (6 ch1 spaces), DO NOT TURN.
Round 2: ch3 (counts as 1st dc), FPDC around next 2 dc, *(dc, ch1, dc) in next ch1 space, FPDC around next 2 dc, repeat from * around, dc in last ch1 space, ch1 slip stitch to top of beg ch3, DO NOT TURN.
Round 3: ch3 (counts as 1st dc), FPDC around next 4 dc, *(dc, ch1, dc) in next ch1 space, FPDC around next 4 dc, repeat from * around, dc in last ch1 space, ch1 slip stitch to top of beg ch3, slip stitch in next ch1 space , DO NOT TURN.
Round 4: ch3 (counts as 1st dc), FPDC around next 6 dc, *(dc, ch1, dc) in next ch1 space, FPDC around next 6 dc, repeat from * around, dc in last ch1 space, ch1 slip stitch to top of beg ch3, slip stitch in next ch1 space , DO NOT TURN.
Round 5: ch3 (counts as 1st dc), FPDC around next 8 dc, *(dc, ch1, dc) in next ch1 space, FPDC around next 8 dc, repeat from * around, dc in last ch1 space, ch1 slip stitch to top of beg ch3, slip stitch in next ch1 space , DO NOT TURN.
Round 6: ch3 (counts as 1st dc), FPDC around next 10 dc, *(dc, ch1, dc) in next ch1 space, FPDC around next 10 dc, repeat from * around, dc in last ch1 space, ch1 slip stitch to top of beg ch3, slip stitch in next ch1 space , DO NOT TURN.
Round 7: ch3 (counts as 1st dc), FPDC around next 12 dc, *(dc, ch1, dc) in next ch1 space, FPDC around next 12 dc, repeat from * around, dc in last ch1 space, ch1 slip stitch to top of beg ch3, slip stitch in next ch1 space , DO NOT TURN.
Round 8: ch3 (counts as 1st dc), FPDC around next 14 dc, *(dc, ch1, dc) in next ch1 space, FPDC around next 14 dc, repeat from * around, dc in last ch1 space, ch1 slip stitch to top of beg ch3, slip stitch in next ch1 space , DO NOT TURN.
Round 9: ch3 (counts as 1st dc), FPDC around next 16 dc, *(dc, ch1, dc) in next ch1 space, FPDC around next 16 dc, repeat from * around, dc in last ch1 space, ch1 slip stitch to top of beg ch3, slip stitch in next ch1 space , DO NOT TURN.
Round 10: ch3 (counts as 1st dc), FPDC around next 18 dc, *(dc, ch1, dc) in next ch1 space, FPDC around next 18 dc, repeat from * around, dc in last ch1 space, ch1 slip stitch to top of beg ch3, slip stitch in next ch1 space , DO NOT TURN.
Border
