Fall Pumpkin Leaf – Free Crochet Pattern
I had a request (thank you Robin) for a leaf to go with my Little Pumpkin Beanie pattern. I will be adding it to the Pumpkin Hat pattern you can purchase, but I’m also offering it as a free crochet pattern on here.
Because I tried so hard to get my pumpkin stem to look ‘real’, I figured I would do the same with the leaf. Not as easy as it sounds….at least not for me. I didn’t want the leaf really big, seeing as many of these hats are made for infants/babies and used for photo shoots. My first attempt I’m not going to even show you
, but here’s attempt #2.
I used ww yarn and an H hook.
ch13,
sl st in 2nd ch from hook, slip stitch in next 8 ch. (stem made)
Round 1: (sc, 2hdc, 2dc) in next ch, (dc, hdc) in next ch, 3sc in next ch, you will now be working down the back side of the leaf, (sc, hdc) in next ch, (hdc, dc) in next ch, (2dc, 2hdc, sc) in last ch, turn.
Round 2: ch1, 3dc in 1st st, dc in next st, hdc in each of next 3 sts, (2sc, hdc) in next st, hdc in each of next 4 sts, 3sc in next st, hdc in each of next 4 sts, (hdc, 2sc) in next st, hdc in next 3 sts, dc in next st, 3dc in last st. Fasten off.
Happy Crocheting!

It looks great…makes a perfect little addition!!!
Thanks
