Serenity Dishcloth – Free Crochet Pattern

Start your new year off right with a fresh, clean living space. What better way to enjoy cleaning it than with the Serenity Dishcloth that you’ve made for yourself? It might even make the task a bit more enjoyable.

MATERIALS


Finished Size: 7″ square

Yarn:  #3 DK/light worsted weight – 1.75 oz/110 yds

  • Sample used Caron Cotton Ripple Cakes in French Vanilla


Crochet Hook: Size G (4.0 mm)

Notions: Yarn Needle

Gauge: 8 sts and 16 rows = 4” in pattern

Difficulty: Beginner: Uses easy stitches with no shaping.

Abbreviations

ch – chain
dc – double crochet
sl st – slip stitch
sc – single crochet
yo – yarn over

Notes:
 

  • Easy 1 row repeat once pattern is set up.
  • Ch 1 at the beg of the row does not count as a st. 




SERENITY DISHCLOTH

Ch 29.
Row 1: Sc in 2nd ch from hook, *dc in next ch, sc in next ch; rep from * across, dc in last ch, turn. (14 sc, 14 dc)

Row 2: Ch 1, sc in first dc, dc in sc, *sc in next dc, dc in next sc; rep from * across, turn. 

Rows 3 – 26 (or until 7”): Repeat Row 2.

Fasten off.
