The Heart In Hand Project

I’ve added another site to my Crocheting for a Cause page.  If you’re looking for a place to donate your crochet squares, Kelly from The Heart In Hand Project will gladly put them to good use.  She accepts squares that measure between 6, 7, 8 or 12 inches square. Here’s a little bit more about her project (taken directly from her blog)

Hello. My name is Kelly and I started this not for profit endeavor to do what so many others have done before

This project follows in the footsteps of the creative individuals who knit for soldiers in WWI, socks during WWII, helmet liners for those in Afghanistan, Iraq and beyond and quilts and blankets for Japan and New Orleans and on and on.

We can comfort so many simply by applying the skills of our hands to bring comfort to those who serve and those who suffer. I hope you will join me in making crochet and knit squares, blankets, and other needs we encounter to bring love and comfort to those who need it most. Thank you.

You can contact me at

There are so many great places to donate, but I hope you’ll go over and check out Kelly’s project.  I always love seeing someone’s heart shine through in what they do.

Happy Crocheting!

  • Kristine – Thank you ever so much for the sweet shout-out. It is greatly appreciated. Being added to your Crochet for a Cause page means a lot to our group and I am sure it will help us to find more needle artists to help our cause. I have posted a thank you at Heart in Hand with a picture and note about your giveaway. ~Kelly<a href="“ rel=”nofollow”>unDeniably Domestic<a href="“ rel=”nofollow”>The Heart in Hand Project

  • I think that it is a lovely endeavor. Since I am already involved in a ministry of my own, making cancer caps and shawls I won't be able to participate but I wanted to say I think what you are doing is admirable!
