Happy Crocheting!
That’s a bit different to the grit stitch I’ve seen before. I’ts actually the same as a stitch I’ve used on booties and hats but that pattern calls it “shell stitch”. Don’t ya just love consistant naming of stitches. :)
I have done a lot of things with the shell stitch. This is not a shell stitch. I like the stitch and have almost finished my first dishcloth with this stitch. Very easy pattern.
Just what I was looking for to make a neck scarf! Maybe even a hooded one! Very pretty stitch!
Thank you!
Very pretty pattern, easy to follow, thanks for sharing.
Would you be kind enough to give me the dimensions of the dish cloth? I am starting making 8″ squares for two different charities and I love this pattern. I really haven’t learned to resize a pattern yet! Sorry!
Love your website. Bought a baby afghan pattern (another charity) and am following you by email, I believe!
Thank you!
Cherie, I believe the dishcloth was about 10″ but I don’t have it anymore. You could get a good idea by just working up the first row.
Do you have a printer-friendly patterns??? that would be great.
Josephine, I’m working on uploading all my free patterns in pdf. Hopefully they will all be up soon.
Thanks so very much for replying back. Much appreciated.
Hi…I was wondering what the repeat is… 3+1 or 2 +1. I like a smaller dish rag.
To make it smaller adjust by 2 chains at a time. So you could do 29, 27, 25, etc.
Hope that helps.
