Keystone Hat Crochet Pattern
The Keystone Hat crochet pattern was designed as part of the Cancer Challenge. It was created to honor the caregivers who give so much of their time, emotions, and support to help those who are going through cancer and/or chemo.

Keystone Hat Crochet Pattern
This year the cancer challenge took on a new meaning to me. In January my husband was diagnosed with stage 4 UTUC cancer. I chose the color plum to represent those caregivers who give tirelessly of themselves in order to do whatever needs to be done for their loved ones.
The keystone of any architectural building is the stone that holds the entire building together and without things would fall down. I feel like that’s what caregivers do for those going through chemo or any other life threatening illness. They try to hold it all together, put the weight on their own shoulders, and pick up the pieces when they do fall. The stitch combo I used reminds me of that keystone archway.

The hat looks great, but complicated. I have made simple ones and delivered them to the infusion clinic at our local hospital.
I can’t get the code to work. Would really like this pattern
Once you get to Ravelry and add it to your cart there will be a spot to add the code.
I’m very sorry to hear of your husband’s cancer diagnosis. I wish you only the best on this difficult journey.
Thank you, Diane.
