Ch 36.
Row 1: Dc in 2nd ch from hook (skipped ch counts as tch), *ch 1, sk next ch, dc in next ch, rep from * across, turn. (17 ch-1 sps, 17 dc, 1 hdc, 1 tch)
Row 2: Ch 1 (counts as tch), *working over ch-1 sp, dc in next beginning ch 2 rows below, ch 1, rep from * across to last dc, ch 1, hdc in tch, turn.
Row 3: Ch 1 (counts as tch), *working over ch-1 sp, dc in next dc 2 rows below, ch 1, rep from * across, hdc in last st, turn.
Rows 4 – 35: Repeat Row 3.

Border
Round 1: Ch 1, sc in each st around working 3 sc in each corner, sl st in first sc to join, turn.
