Pattern Info
Finished Size: Baby – 32” x 36”

Yarn: #4 worsted weight
Sample used: Lion Brand Vanna’s Choice in Grey Marble and Mustard
- Grey Marble – 20 oz/1583 yds
- Mustard – 2.4 oz/191 yds
Crochet Hook: Size J/10 (6 mm)
Notions: Yarn Needle
Gauge: 14 hdc x 10 rows = 4” in pattern
Difficulty: Beginner: Uses a mixture of basic stitches together to create a visual effect.
Stitches Used:
ch – chain
hdc – half double crochet
yo – yarn over

Notes:
- Total stitch count is provided at the end of each row. If there is no total then it is the same as the previous row.
- Even numbered rows – work through both stitches in first and last st. Work in 3rd loop for all other stitches.
- Pattern can be adjusted in any number of stitches.
Special Stitches:
- 3rd loop – work your hdc as normal, but work it into the 3rd loop (which will be at the front of the stitch).

Willow Blanket (baby size)
Ch 99.
Row 1: (RS) Hdc in 3rd ch from hook, *hdc in each ch across, turn. (97 hdc)
Row 2: (WS) Ch 2, hdc in first st, hdc 3rd loop in each st across to last st, hdc in last st, turn.
Row 3: (RS) Ch 1, hdc in each st across, turn.
Rows 4 – 102: Repeat Rows 2 – 3.

Border
Round 1: Attach contrast color in any st, hdc in each stitch around working 3 hdc in each corner, sl st in first hdc to join.
Please Note: For the sides; the easiest way to make sure your stitches are worked evenly on both sides is to work 1 hdc in the first row-end and then work 2 hdc in the next row-end (repeating that up the side). Adjust as needed.
Round 2 – 3: Ch 1, hdc in each stitch around working 3 hdc in each corner.
Fasten off.
