Single Crochet & Chain Stitch Variation
I like to think this is a variation of the Ladder Stitch, but I’m not positive, so don’t quote me on it. :)
Chain any multiple of 4.
Row 1: sc in 2nd chain from hook, sc in next chain, *ch3, skip next 3 ch, sc in next ch, repeat from * across to last ch, sc in last ch, turn.
Row 2: ch1, sc in 1st 2 sc, *ch3, skip next ch3 sp, sc in next sc, repeat from * across, sc in last sc, turn.
Repeat Row 2 for pattern.
I used this pattern for something I’m creating (almost finished), but I did a row of single crochet for the first row and I’ll do a row of single crochet as the last row. Just a way of making it look more finished.
Happy Crocheting!

  1. >Looks like ribbing (almost) w/o the stretchy quality. Hmmm.. thanks for sharing!c

  2. >That is one of my favorite stitches. Your work is all so pretty.
