2014 Word for the Year
Did you set goals for yourself and/or your business for 2014? I did, but never wrote them down. If you didn’t either, join me now and let’s work on them together. Goals are achieved one day at a time, not from January 1st – December 31st.
I have a ton of goals, but I decided to start with just an overview of my goals, then work on individual goals separate. A few years ago I read the book Knit Together: Discovering God’s Pattern for Your Life by Debbie Macomber. In that book, Debbie recommends you chose a word for the year. This year my word is FOCUS. I then took my word and chose some areas in my life I wanted to focus on.
Family – I don’t necessarily need to focus on my family, but I do constantly put them first, above my business.
Organization – I’m not the most organized person, so this will be my biggest hurdle.
Crochet Business – I have peaks and valleys. I’m hoping to be more consistent with my blogging and pattern releases, as well as my tech editing turn-around time.
Unclutter – If I can unclutter, maybe my organizational skills will get better….we’ll see.
Stay on Task – Sometimes I feel like I just from one thing to the next. I’m working on staying focused and on task. That will make me more productive too.
Did you pick a word for the year? Is it something you want to share?
Ditto here. Sounds just like me, except I’m retired.
I don’t have a word – but I guess if I had to summarize my goals with words they would be – Balance and Consistency in all areas. Good luck with your resolutions :)
That’s great, Rhondda! Thanks for sharing.
thank you for the word. thank you for doing what you are doing. i would love to have a blog also but I’d always be on to a different topic. what a gift you have. Keep sharing.
