Berry Bliss Twist Earwarmer Crochet Pattern

Everyone is loving the Berry Bliss patterns, so I’ve added a new pattern to the collection….the Berry Bliss Twist Earwarmer.

The bobble (or puff) stitch is popular….. and fun! By combining the puff stitch with other basic stitches it creates an amazing texture.

My FB group has loved this stitch combo so much that there are now a few patterns that use it, and it’s growing.

The ear warmer pattern is the newest in the Berry Bliss Collection.

BERRY BLISS TWIST EARWARMER CROCHET PATTERN


PATTERN INFO:

Finished Sizes: Toddler, Child, Adult

Please Note: This toddler size earwarmer is free on the blog. When you purchase the premium pattern it will include 3 sizes.

Yarn: #4 worsted weight – Sample used Red Heart Super Saver Ombre

Hook: Size I/9 (5.5 mm). Change hook size to get correct gauge if needed.

Notions: Yarn Needle

Difficulty: Advanced Beginner

The pattern has a 2 row repeat. You will need to be familiar with chains, dc, and a puff stitch, as well as increasing and decreasing (or not be afraid to try new stitches).

Stitches Used:

ch – chain
sc – single crochet
sl st – slip stitch
yo – yarn over

EARWARMER PATTERN

Ch 13,
Row 1: V-st in 5th ch from hook (skipped 4 chs counts as dc and skipped ch 1), *sk next 2 ch, v-st in next ch, rep from * across to last 2 ch, sk next ch, dc in last ch, turn. (3 v-sts, 2 dc)

Row 2: Ch 1 (does not count as st), sc in first st, puff st in ch-1 sp, ch 1, sk next dc*, sc in next dc, rep from * across ending last rep at **, sc in top of beg ch-3, turn. (3 puff sts, 4 sc)

Row 3: Ch 1 (does not count as st), dc in 1st sc, *sk ch-1 sp, v-st in top of puff st, sk sc, rep from * across, dc in last sc, turn. (3 v-sts)

Row 4: Ch 1, sc in first st, puff st in ch-1 sp, ch 1, sk next dc*, sc in next dc, rep from * across ending last rep at **, sc in last dc, turn. (3 puff sts, 4 sc)

Rows 5 – 31 (35, 37): Rep Rows 3 & 4, or until ear warmer measures approx. 15 1⁄2” long. (For larger adult head add 1-2” – see Notes on sizing)
Fasten off, leaving 12” tail for sewing.

Finishing
Fold both short ends in half (into a C shape) and put each end into the fold. Sew through all 4 layers.
Fasten off.
