Berry Bliss Hat Crochet Pattern

Do you love texture? The Berry Bliss Hat crochet pattern has it!

The bobble stitch or puff stitch are so popular right now! So, when I asked my Facebook crochet group what stitch they’d like to see me use for my projects this month, I wasn’t completely surprised they said “something with bobbles”.

The Berry Bliss hat is the next pattern in the Berry Bliss Collection. I’m so excited! A big thank you to my group for 1) suggesting a bobble stitch pattern, and 2) suggesting more items to got with the Berry Bliss infinity.

The Berry Bliss hat combines basic stitches with a bobble/puff stitch to create an amazing texture.

The pattern includes both a top down version as well as a bottom up version.

The top down version is a more fitted while the bottom up is a slouch. Take your pick, or you can make both.

Finished Sizes: adult (20 – 22″ head circumference)

Yarn: #4 worsted weight – Sample used Red Heart Super Saver Ombre
– 3.5 oz for regular hat
– 4 oz for slouch

Hook: Size I/9 (5.5 mm). Change hook size to get correct gauge if needed.

Notions: Yarn Needle

Difficulty: Advanced Beginner

The pattern has a 2 row repeat. You will need to be familiar with chains, dc, and a puff stitch, as well as increasing and decreasing (or not be afraid to try new stitches).

The ad-free PDF is available for purchase in either of my shops.

  • I was led to your site through a link from another blog. And on that page, I was led to believe that the Berry Bliss Hat pattern was available on your site as a Free pattern, But I don’t find that pattern here – just list of materials and other needed information.
I don’t really mind paying for patterns. I truly understand that patterns are not only your “brain child”, but take a good deal of work to write an understandable pattern that others can follow. My problem is that I am a Senior Citizen living on Social Security (which doesn’t really provide a lot of “security”! And I have a huge stack of medical bills after 3 cancer scares at end of last year and have very little disposable income. My crochet is my way of making up for not being physically able to be active and even most days to even do basic housework!

If possible, I’d love to have that pattern for the Berry Bliss Hat to go along with the Infinity Scarf.
‘Twould make a wonderful gift for one (or more of) my daughters.

Love your patterns and am so glad to have found my way here! Thank you so much for sharing your beautiful work with us! Keep up the great work! you have, I’m sure, inspired many to strive to improve their own crochet abilities! I love patterns with textural interest!

    • Thank you for loving my patterns. I understand struggles. I have 6 children and my husband was diagnosed with cancer last year. So we’re struggling as well. I offer some of my patterns for free but some I charge to help with household bills as well. I do have other patterns from the Berry Bliss Collection that were offered for free. I hope you will take a look at those and maybe like one of them as well.
