Rowan Baby Blanket Crochet Pattern
Are you looking for a unique, textured baby blanket? This pattern has tons of texture for your next baby blanket!
The Rowan Baby Blanket pattern (previously released as the Baile Baby Blanket), has an easy 4 row repeat, so once you learn the stitches you don’t have to worry about anything but crocheting!
Babies love texture! This pattern was named originally named the Baile Baby Blanket. Baile means “homesteading”. It was a gift for my niece who loves to do many of those homesteading activities. I have since updated the pattern and added sizes and re-released it named Rowan after her son.
This pattern is great for the intermediate crocheter, or an adventurous beginner that’s not afraid to try new things.

Where do I find out how to do a “leafhopper” stitch? It’s nowhere in the pattern (that I can see) and no link to an explanation.
It’s been added to the post. I’m so sorry.
Thank you! I have never heard of the leaphopper stitch before, so I will have to look for that! Joan
It’s been added to this post. I apologize for the oversite.
Thank you so much for offering this baby blanket pattern for free. It looks wonderful and I would love to try it.
However, I have never heard of a ‘leafhopper’ stitch. Do you know where I can access the instructions to make this stitch which is integral to your blanket?
Thank you
I’ve added it to the post. I apologize for the error.
Thank you so much. Such an interesting stitch. 😃
There are no instructions in the pattern for the leaf hopper stitch.
I’ve added it to the pattern. Thank you for pointing that out.
Do you have a picture of the blanket with the border? I am working on it and am not sure mines coming out correctly.
I just realized I haven’t updated the pics. I will be doing that shortly!
