What Can I Do With My Leftover Scraps of Yarn?
Do you hate to throw away the little pieces of yarn that are leftover from your projects? Here is a fun solution….
Put them out for the birds, and they can use them to build their nests. Now, here’s my disclaimer. It’s a little late in spring to be doing this. You should really do it right as the birds are arriving back from migration, and they’re beginning to build their nests. I’m going to guess they’re done building by now (it’s the middle of May). If you don’t have a suet feeder, you can just scatter them around the yarn, which is how we did it until I decided to try this.
Happy Crocheting!
Great idea! I’ m going to file this idea away until next year. Thank you.
I have tried this several times and it never works for me.
The first year I did it it didn’t work either. I have no idea why. Maybe finicky birds? ;)
