Blossom Washcloth – Free Crochet Pattern

Pamper yourself with this beginner-friendly, easy washcloth crochet pattern.

Whether you are looking for a quick project to decorate your home, or give as a gift, the Blossom Washcloth is an easy washcloth pattern that will be done in no time.

This pattern is great for beginners that want to try new stitches.

MATERIALS


Finished Sizes: 10″ x 10″

Yarn:  #4 worsted weight cotton – 2.5 oz/140 yds


Crochet Hook: Size I/9 (5.5 mm)

Notions: Yarn Needle

Gauge: 12 sts x 13 rows = 4” in pattern

Difficulty: Beginner: Uses beginner stitches with no shaping.

Abbreviations:

ch – chain
dc – double crochet
rep – repeat
sl st – slip stitch
sc – single crochet
yo – yarn over

Notes:

  • One ball of Eco Cotton is enough to make 1 washcloth. 
  • Easy 1 row repeat once pattern is set up.
  • Ch 1 at the beg of the row does not count as a st. 
  • To change the size, work the beg chain in multiples of 2.
  • Change to brighter colors and make it a dishcloth for the kitchen.

Washcloth

Ch 32.
Row 1: (Sc, dc) in 2nd ch from hook, sk next ch, *(sc, dc) in next ch, sk next ch; rep from * across, sc in last ch, turn. (16 sc, 15 dc)

Row 2: Ch 1, (sc, dc) in first sc, sk next dc, *(sc, dc) in next sc, sk next dc; rep from * across, turn. 

Rows 3 – 27 (or until square): Repeat Row 2. Fasten off.
