Saguaro Cactus Blanket Square – Free Crochet Pattern

I recently went to Arizona for the first time and was amazed when I found out that saguaro cactus can live 150-200 years! Somehow that morphed into making one for the cactus blanket square. :)

It’s an easy c2c square that doesn’t have too many color changes. You can even leave off the flower at the top if you don’t want to add that.

SAGUARO CACTUS SQUARE


Finished Size: 25 squares x 25 squares

Yarn: #4 worsted weight

  • White (W) – 3 oz/174 yds
  • Brown (B) – .5 oz/29 yds
  • Green (G) – .5 oz/29 yds
  • Pink (P) – scraps/approx 6 yds


Hook Size: Size H/8 (5.0 mm)

Notions: Yarn Needle

Notes:

  • Skipped 2 chs at beg of each row counts as 1st hdc throughout pattern, unless otherwise noted.
  • C2C instructions are written separately from color changes. If you don’t need the c2c instructions you can use the graph.
  • There is no right side or wrong side to the square. Whichever side you like better is the side to use.
